Galaxy Digital Secures $460M Strategic Investment for Data Center Expansion
Galaxy Digital has landed a $460 million investment from an undisclosed major asset manager, signaling strong institutional confidence in its digital asset and data center strategy. The capital infusion will fuel expansion of its Helios data center campus, specifically targeting AI workloads.
The transaction involved 12.8 million Class A shares priced at $36 each, with nearly 70% coming from Galaxy's treasury and the remainder from insiders including CEO Mike Novogratz. At this valuation, the firm's equity stands at approximately $9.5 billion.
"This investment provides the balance sheet strength to scale our infrastructure business while maintaining strategic flexibility," Novogratz stated. The Helios facility remains on track to deliver 133 megawatts of capacity by mid-2026.
